Pesce recreates the outline of the city that never sleeps by pouring coloured resin into moulds in numerous phases to produce, layer by layer, the striking shades of the building facades that range from purple and blue to pink and green, while a vivid red symbolizes the large, round sun. The colours were formulated especially for this project and produced by mixing a calculated quantity of pigments to create different intensities.
